You have the right to cancel your order for a full refund within 14 days of the order being delivered. The product must be returned in an unopened and unused condition. You do not have to give a reason for your cancellation.

As an online retailer of EEE products, simplehuman can collect your old electrical product for recycling when you purchase a new one from our UK website.

The WEEE Directive covers any product that is dependent on electric currents or electromagnetic fields to work properly. For simplehuman, this means all our sensor products (bins, mirrors and pumps).

Returns are free when arranged by simplehuman. For a full refund, items must be returned to us unused and in the original packaging within 45 days from the date of purchase. Original packaging includes the outer box, all the interior packaging, product literature and all component parts. If your item was delivered to you in an additional protective brown box, this should also be used for the return. Unauthorised return postage costs cannot be refunded, and we will not accept products left at our office or distribution centre. When we receive your return, the refund will be made to your original payment method. To process the return, we will need your customer order number and the product code for the item, which can be found in your confirmation email and on the printed despatch note which came with your order. Where available, a serial number from the product itself may also be requested. If you purchased your item from another retailer, please contact them regarding the return. Collections can be arranged between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays. When choosing a preferred collection date, please note that a minimum of 2 full working days’ notice is required, and that our office is closed on weekends. For example, if you send a request on Friday evening, the earliest collection date is the following Wednesday.

There’s no need to print a label or write on the box, our courier will take care of this. They’ll also provide a tracking number, so you’ll know when we’ve got your item. Many items can be dropped at your local collection point, once simplehuman has emailed you the returns label. Due to space restrictions at these collection points, the following items will require a home collection: bins with a capacity greater than 20L, tension shower caddies, laundry hampers. We do not offer exchanges for returned items. If you wish to replace your returned product with another item, please place a separate order for that item and follow the standard returns process for the original item.

We hold and process your information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018, as amended by the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). All hard copy records are kept for the minimum time required, before being securely shredded and recycled by a reputable company, compliant with GDPR. We keep minimal paper records, but any that we do keep are kept in a secure location on the premises.

Our server is located within the UK, not accessible via the internet and is backed up regularly to a secure database network. We may email you (via a secure email address if you have provided us with one) purely for marketing purposes and only if you have given us consent to do so. You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you and to request the removal of your information from our databases.
